Streamlined Online Records Searches at SarasotaClerk.com
The Clerk’s website receives an average of 10,937 online visits per day!
Changes to the website have been implemented to make navigation simpler and more efficient to the user. Starting from the home page at www.SarasotaClerk.com, a new online records option now provides two choices: Public record searches, and the secured ClerkNet site for authorized users. In addition, only one acknowledgement of the disclaimer is required regardless of the number of searches conducted.
Coming soon: eRecording
The Clerk is pleased to offer yet another customer benefit that merges new technology, automation and convenience: eRecording, poised to be a time and cost-saving tool for those who record documents with the Clerk.
Designed as a solution for title companies, lenders and attorneys, eRecording gives the ability to submit, receive and process documents via a web-service portal.
The hardware requirements and specifications are minimal*; as long as you have a PC (minimum of 1GB RAM) with high-speed Internet access and a scanner, no additional hardware or software is required.
With quick and easy account creation, interested users will be provided a hyperlink via the website to register to become a submitter and to receive the utility that will be loaded on their computer. Once this is complete, the submitter is ready to eRecord.
The eRecording process is simple. The submitter simply:
1. Scans the document
2. Selects the document type
3. Enters key information (i.e. party names, consideration amount)
4. Submits document to be recorded electronically
The Clerk’s Recording Department electronically receives the documents, reviews the documents, performs index validation and applies the recordation marks on the digital image of the recorded document. The documents become part of the official record, thus allowing the submitter to gain electronic access to a real-time image of the recorded document.
More details regarding the registration process will be made available in December, in preparation of a rollout set for January 2013.
