The following members constitute our board of directors for 2019

Pamala S. Roberts, RP, FRP | President
Pamala, a graduate of Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, Kentucky with a B.S. in Systems Management and a minor in Criminology. She also has an A.S. in Paralegal Studies from Daymar College. With over 20 years of paralegal experience working in law firms in Kentucky and Florida. Pamala is currently a Family Law Paralegal for the Tampa firm of Sessums Law Group. She is also currently a member of the South Florida Paralegal Association, NFPA, and NALA.

Lisa Ellis, CP | Vice-President
Lisa works in the Legal Department at HSN, commonly known as Home Shopping Network, supporting the Corporate Governance and Contract functions. Originally from Wisconsin, Lisa holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. After working as a Stage Manager for many years, she completed her A.S. degree in Paralegal Studies at State College of Florida in Bradenton and attained her Certified Paralegal credential through NALA in 2013.

Christina Cornwell | Secretary
Christina is a graduate of Keiser University with an Associates in Paralegal Studies. She is currently working in Family Law at Bragg Law Firm, PLLC. She is a member of NALA and is working towards her paralegal certification. Christina was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida, and enjoys movies, the beach, and going to Busch Gardens with her 6 year old son and Fiancé.

Nicole T. Luebcke, FRP | Treasurer
Nicole is a Florida Registered Paralegal and a Certified Bookkeeper with the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers. She is a graduate of State College of Florida and has an Associate of Art in Liberal Arts, an Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies, and currently sits on the State College of Florida’s Paralegal Advisory Board. Nicole has over ten years of experience as a Paralegal in a variety of practice areas and was a Firm Administrator for two years. In addition, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Criminology.

Valasha "Val" Sweetnich, ACP, FRP | NALA Liaison
Val holds an ACP certification from NALA in contract administration/contact management, and she has over 30 years of experience in the legal profession. She previously worked for Steptoe & Johnson, the largest defense firm in West Virginia, and, prior to relocating to Florida, she worked for the Office of General Counsel at West Virginia University. She attended Marshall University and the University of Charleston, where she majored in paralegal studies. She and her husband relocated to Sarasota from West Virginia in 2014.

Tammy Skonie, CP, FRP | FAPA Delegate | Non-Voting Member
Tammy is a graduate of UNC at Chapel Hill and holds a Paralegal Certification from Roosevelt University in Chicago. Tammy has worked in the legal field since 1990 with a short break for the birth of her two children. She started in the area of bankruptcy at the Chapter 13 Trustee's offices in Seattle and Chicago, and now works as a litigation/real estate paralegal at the Sarasota office of Adams and Reese LLP. She is a NALA Certified Paralegal and a Florida Registered Paralegal. She is also a member of Florida Association of Legal Support Specialist and the local chapter Sarasota-Manatee Association of Legal Support Specialists. She previously served on our board and is currently one of our Florida Alliance of Paralegal Associations (FAPA) representatives. Tammy is married to Ed Skonie and has 2 active teenagers, Bryce and Lyndsey.
